Owl Sanctuary Appeal - Please donate

The Barn Owl Centre, Gloucester rehabilitates and cares for captive bred owls and birds of prey, many of which have had a tragic start to their lives from a growing pet trade.

Through the care and compassion of an amazing team, these birds are looked after and 24/7. However, the Barn Owl Centre does need your help.

The Barn Owl Centre has been at Netheridge Farm, Gloucester since 2008 and due to various setbacks the full extent of the Centre has never been able to move from temporary to permanent facilities - something which has meant we have struggled to open to the public.

While the birds have accommodation, the aviaries they are currently in were never meant to be permanent. With weathered timbers and old aviary mesh, their homes could do with a complete revamp and this costs a lot of money. The aviaries are functional but not the best if we were to open our doors as a Visiting Centre.

These are captive bred birds which cannot be released into the wild, many came into care after becoming unwanted and mistreated, this had a huge impact on their previous lives and now, they get a great live of support plus regularly exercise within the farms environment. More information on how the Barn Owl Centre rehabilitates and cares for its birds can be gained by booking into one of our hands-on experiences.

Fifty birds live at the Barn Owl Centre, all of which require new aviaries - this works out at just £300 per aviary but we have 50 aviaries to get through.

With your help, the Barn Owl Centre can be visually transformed, giving these fabulous birds the peranant homes where visitors can come and meet them.

If you are kind enough to donate, please think about leaving your name so we can thank you, it would be nice also to add you to the "Friends of the Barn Owl Centre" display wall!
